On the 1st December, 2012, for the first time people of Kazakhstan have started to celebrate Day of the First President. The state holiday was created, first of all, with the purpose of celebrating, recognizing and expressing gratitude for the outstanding services to Kazakhstan - First President Nursultan Nazarbayev. After assuming the office of the Head of state in 1990, on December 10, 1991, the law on the renaming of the Kazakh SSR to the Republic of Kazakhstan was signed, and as early as December 16, 1991, the Supreme Council proclaimed Kazakhstan an independent state.
We congratulate all residents and guests of the state on the Day of the First President. We wish clear sky, prosperity and peace of mind!
